2010-2011 Priorities

After a review of the Survey and a gap analysis between the Ontario Curriculum (and the impact of the SQC) and the suite of currently Ministry licensed software, OSAPAC is recommending that the Ministry set the 2010-2011 software priorities as follows:

  • Interactive Mathematics Grades 4-8 in French, Web or CD/DVD based product
  • Garment Design Grades 7-12 Web or CD/DVD based products –(Family Studies Association request)
  • Nutrition facts, Healthy diets and Personal Fitness – Grades 7-12,  Web or CD/DVD based products (Family Studies Association request)
  • Canadian Studies tutorials for Canadian newcomers Grades K-12 Web or CD/DVD based products  (ERGO request)
  • Painting software for JK-3 CD/DVD based products
  • Dynamic Geometry exploration tools Grades 7-12 Web or CD/DVD based product with student take home rights
  • Word Prediction software Grades 3-10 CD/DVD based products with student take home rights
  • Interactive web based learning objects for Math and Sciences – Grades 7-12  
  • Tutorials – funds dedicated to preparing introductory video tutorials for licensed software
